Lychee/lychee & pineapple TC

Planned to make a lychee TC with a litre of lychee purée, but I'm now thinking lychee and pineapple might be a nice summery drink for the laydees.
10 litres Apple Juice
5.4 litres Pineapple Juice
1 litre Lychee Purée
3.6 litres water
I teaspoon yeast nutrient
1 packet yeast with sweetener.
May even chuck some fresh ginger in, or just do some apple and ginger TC.

Just gone with the the lychee purée and AJ mix.
I picked up some cider yeast with sweetener from Boyes last week so chucked that in with some yeast nutrient.
Never used the yeast with sweetener, I'm assuming that I will still need to back sweeten as tgere can't have been much sweetener in the sachet???

i would wait and see on the sweetneing front- but for the laydees u may need to (and depends on whats in their, artifical types can be v conc

Depends what the sweetener was, some of them are fantastically strong, unusable normally as you'd only want a couple of crystals in a cup of coffee etc, but come into their own at gallon+ volumes

It didn't say on the sachet - just cider yeast with sweetener.

I usually consume the trial jar when checking the final gravity so I will know if it needs sweetening. I just couldn't imagine the contents doing much to the 16L of TC.

Sounds interesting, may try it. Just made a lychee turbo cider using AJ and AJ & Lychee juice. Lychee Puree sounds like a much better option, where did you get it from?

Through one of my suppliers at work.
Not much help i know, i will ask where they get it but i asssume its a wholesalers job. :thumb:

I was just planning a Rose wine for one of my next brews and thought Lychee might go nicely hand in hand with it.

How is your lychee brew going and is it worth trying to get hold of the purée?

Pineapple turbo cider is a no no to me
Made some once and it is violently bitter

Well just think of pineapple without the sweetness
Over the years have seen threads about pj turbo but they
All die out pretty rapidly! Think you have taken the right route
