I do not get the link between the first and second half of your post, are you suggesting people do not know what a tower block is if they do not live in one, pass by one or know someone living in one or are you asking if someone here lives in a tower block and makes home brew?

I was also mystified by davereal's post. I was even wondering if he was suggesting the fire was started by a homebrewer

Sorry, that was a pretty crap post to be honest.Just seems that celleb's and all are jumping on a band wagon and to be fair addressing the safety issue but will move on . A lot of estates have been left to run down over many years, with no investment to the communal areas and money being spent on so called vanity project's. Haven't lived on one for many years and that was so bad they flattened it it the end. The security doors never worked as well as the lifts . The stairways and walkways stank . I suppose the whole community lost any pride in where they lived. Just wondered if money spent on tidying up the insides and maybe a concierge . i know it does stop people who shouldn't be there using the block and the issue of sub letting. And as far as brewing, one of my neighbors', nice old girl, used to make a very nice(strong) tea bag wine and a couple of lads used to make 'prison hooch' with cartoons of juice. is that
a WOW?

Don't be sorry for ur posts mate. Ul be afraid to post otherwise and then we'll have a mass group of boring sods agreeing with each other, copy and pasting every article that comes out rather than leaving an opinion of they're own.
Myn are normally carefully woven into the threads to add comedy, albiet at inappropriate times. Think the part in the 'exorcist' when Ragen pissed on the floor in front of a family and friends gathering.
There's always somebody that will be offended at ur view point, normally after a ****e day at work or maybe they're misses is showing no signs of intamcey at bed time.
For whatever reason, let there be freedom of speech. Even if the is a vile rant of worthlessness.
Let's drink to ourselves and this very informative site regardless. It's helped me no end, even if the snug has left me feeling confused and flabbergasted at times :)

The US firm that supplied cladding used on London's Grenfell Tower has ended global sales of the product for use in high-rise blocks, it has said.
Arconic said it was "discontinuing" global sales of Reynobond PE for use in tower blocks due to "issues" identified after the fire on 14 June, which is feared to have killed at least 79.
