LME storage

I have a 1.5 Kg tin of Coopers LME I was thinking of adding to a MYO beer kit from The Range.
If I add half of the tin ( plus brewing sugar ) how best to store the other half?
Or is this a bad idea?
I wanted to 'beef up' the kit. Give it more body.
I've not used the MYO kits before.
Any tips for giving them ' a little extra'?

What’s in the MYO kit? If it is just a 1.5 or 1.8kg kit plus fermentables, then I would add the full can of of Coopers LME and forget about the brewing sugar. It will turn out great with a little higher ABV of perhaps 5.5%.

I have just bottled a half kit Wilko's First Gold IPA, just put half the can in a tupper ware box and put it in the fridge for the next brew. No issue at all. In the past I have even frozen part kits again no issue with the next brew.

MYO = Make My Own.
The Range sell them. Not sure of manufacturers.
