I like Debian, Have tried mint but it won't run on my 256MB laptop . . . Debian will
Mint will run on my desktop and I liked what I saw . . . But I'll stick with Debian though

Dont get me wrong I don't like windows and wish i could love linux... I might take another look at it :)
Please dont everyone hate me now

This is EXACTLY what I meant when I said Linux isn't quite ready for mass consumption as a desktop replacement for Windows.
I was very surprised Lewis when I followed the link in Hairybikers signature for linux mint and my Netgear USB dongle worked straight away.
Wish I'd stuck to Netgear for the youngest desktop as trying to install a Belkin dongle was a nightmare

hairybiker said:You can hardly blame Linux for "not supporting" your wireless dongle, IF the manufactures supplied a driver - LIKE they DO for M$ - then it would be a simple plug in and go, until then people have to hack the dongle to get it to work, but the new version of Ndiswrapper seems to work fine for a lot of them - it uses the M$ driver
