Legality of renting out a microbrewery

Hey guys, I was thinking about setting up a microbrewery experience day where you could brew your own, I would provide the equipment, ingredients and all. You’d come in. Brought your own recipe or just picked one. Once done, you’d leave it to ferment and in a few weeks you’d come and bottle it and took home.

Now, how much illegal would that be without a brewing license? I guess the troublesome part could be storing the fermented liquid? The rest should be fairly simple I’d think ...

Thanks a lot! The Ubrew looks very similar indeed.
I do have a big modern “barn” in scotland that I want to convert and already building an air conditioned lager room so keeping it shouldn’t be a problem.

Regarding the legalities, I really don’t want to sell the beer. I would like to let people take the fermentation buckets with them to use as a starter kit for the next batch.

Read through the threads but couldn’t find anything related to what is the point where you need the brewery license as I really don’t want to cross the line initially.

Would there be anyone who knows more about UBrew or similar type of a business?

This is total speculation on my part but I would have thought that if you can satisfy hmrc that you're not selling the finished beer and the customer is only paying for the raw ingredients and/or your stewardship it might be that you wouldn't require a license. The volumes being produced might pose an issue though. I actually have no idea but would thought if you contacted hmrc and explained your business model they could advise you on what is required etc.
