I'm brewing a 6% lager and have just transferred to secondary vessel tonight (after 2 weeks in primary), and I have just discovered that there is an air leak in the lid of this - all fine if I was on the verge of transferring to bottles, however, I will need this to be stored at 4c for 6 weeks. Will an air leak be detrimental to my brew which has to survive 48hours at 18-20c and then 6 weeks at approx 4c?

1) A layer of CO2 should protect the beer, the lid is really just to keep flys away, and stop the co2 blowing away.

2) Duct tape should solve it :D
