Another dumb question about lagering in corny kegs.
Is it necessary to keep the gas on the keg while lagering? Or just drop lager in, gas, purge, and then put the lid on and stick it in the freezer.
 
You'll want to gas it to about 25PSI (assuming room temperature and you want a fairly gassy lager) and leave at that for a couple of days before disconnecting and storing until you intend to use it. Alternatively I turn the gas on and off a few times a day for two days (prevents losing a bottle of C02 in the event of a small leak). Drop it to 10PSI to serve.
