I've run out of Maris and want to do a brew tomorrow, is it okay to use British lager malt as a base malt? It's only a partial mash, and I only have 1Kg of lager malt.
Lager Malt is fine. I make a Brewers Gold clone that uses 75% lager malt and is spot on. Just need to ensure you boil with the lid off to avoid DMS but that's not a big deal!
