Hi. I’m very new to this so please forgive my lack of knowledge 🙂 I’m about to brew my first batch this weekend and I’m getting everything ready. I thought I’d brew a mock 15L Hazy Jane from a kit using a 30L Klarstein pro mash kettle with pump, however there is 1 thing that I’m slightly confused about and that’s the anti burn circulation. Do I only need to open the anti burn circulation pipe when I boil only? If yes do I keep the other circulation pipe open at the same time or close it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK a bit late on a reply but as others on this forum wont know what the anti burn on a Klarstein is I will answer.

You only "need" to recirculate when coming up to the boil. When close to boiling switch it off. In practice without using it i have never had any burning on the base of the system.

If you add sugars during the boil I would use it then for a short while or stir until all the sugars are dissolved.

I have converted mine to a whirlpool. I just needed to add a 90° stainless steel elbow to the inside of the copper.

Also, welcome to the forum.
