THBC are consistent and I think the cheapest around:

The link above works out at £45 per reconditioned keg, as postage is free on orders over £70.

Deliveries on orders <£70 are £6.95, meaning purchasing one reconditioned corny would cost £56.40. Still a good deal IMO.

I just bought a setup from scratch from brewkegtap, owner was very helpful, checked over the list of items I was ordering to validate that I would have a working system. Had a minor problem with one of the kegs he replaced it immediately, would recommend.

I don't have a LHBS anymore, so where does one buy Co2 canisters for kegging?

Yeah, but it's a hella 'spensive to do it. If you wanted to force carb and serve you'd get about 3 kegs out of the bottle if you went for 2 vols of co2. If you were just using it to serve you do about 100 litres.

If you want the calcs for funsies every vol of co2 is 1.96 grams. And if your beer finished fermenting at 20c you'd have 0.86 vols of co2 already in it - say you wanted 2.1 vols of co2 in the beer:

g to carb = vol beer * 1.96 * (co2 vols reqd - residual co2) = 19 * 1.96 * (2.1 - 0.86) = 46g

g to serve = vol beer * co2 vols reqd * 1.96 = 78g

For the entire total = vol beer * 1.96 * (2 * co2 vols reqd - residual co2)

This is presuming the beer is the same volume as your keg.

Thats who I get mine from (in a micro pub) they told me they will strictly not deal with home brewers. If they do its £9 + VAT for 6.5Kg CO2 no deposit or other charges.

I get my gas from sellers, £10 for a new bottle filled! Didn’t even want a deposit. They never asked what I wanted it for, I just walked in off the street.
