Keg pot build

Hi all, after several attempts at brewing with kits I have decided to move onto BIAB brewing. Having looked at various pots and sizes I have found myself leaning towards building a keggle as I have a 50L keg in the garage..
I have watched lots of YouTube clips on the process however some of the finer details escape me, for example what kind of element would be best to use and what kind of KW output would be best for a 50L setup? Also can anyone point me in the direction of where best to purchase all the required hardware I might need?
At this point all advice and input would be a massive help on my adventure.

Unfortunately people tend to steer well clear of used keg builds for the reason chippy posted.

At least it's a Tennents keg. And it's being put to a better use. If you're into justifying crime in that way.

I did say i assume you got the keg legally i was not accusing you of anything and my message was aimed at members who may want to follow your guide and may have not known about thefts from breweries etc and Keg watch.

As it has now been suggested this is a Tennants keg could you take a picture of the far side of the top of the keg (see arrow below) so we can see what it says, thanks.

Wow! As a pretty new member hoping to contribute here I now find my thread hijacked and my character in the process of being assassinated with obvious assumption's of wrong doing on my part.
This keg was given to me by a friend of mine who runs and owns my local public house. If it was wrong on his part to do so I have no idea however I will contact and ask him.

I never said you where accusing me, however there does appear to be a very definite undertone to your questioning. A private message would have been a good way to conduct this especially with a new member. But hay ho I suppose I'm new here and the forum has plenty of newbies so why not make an example of one every now and then, no big loss.

Lol :) Kegs are someones property though, even when they're covered in manky green stuff or dribbles of concrete the chances are they wheren't bought from the rightful owner, they just kinda ended up there.

There are some bass kegs at my bottle collection pub which apparently have been there for years. Even the gypsies won't nick 'em to get rid of them for him.
Barrels certainly are a sacred no no.

Pioneer it's a shame you have taken my OP the wrong way, a Private message wouldn't have achieved my goal of warning new members not to touch kegs with a barge pole unless bought from a reputable source, as you haven't provided the picture I asked for I assume Sadfield was right and it is a Tennant's keg which your "mate" never owned and had no right to give you (hence my warning to other members) this was never about you being a new member or me making an example of you I would have posted the same message to any member.
