Hi! I have a 32 pint kit of Woodforde's Admiral's Reserve coming to the end of it's fermentation vessel phase.

I plan to put half into a 10 litre plastic barrel, and bottle the other half after syphoning it into a bucket. Can anyone tell me:

The amount of spraymalt to add to the barrel,
The amount of spraymalt to add to the bucket to batch prime before bottling,
The amount of spraymalt to add to each 500ml bottle if I decide not to batch prime.

Thanks in advance - I'm using spraymalt rather than sugar as I've sampled someone else's brews and prefer the feel and taste as a result.

Clive.

Why don't you batch prime the whole lot, then put half into the barrel and the rest in bottles? Assuming you are going to add the same amount of primer for both.

Fair point - I wondered whether the bottles/barrel would need a different 'strength' of priming.

Also, thanks Graz - that's handy!!
