But think about it, Germans limit homebrewing to 200 litres per year, then you have to pay excise duty, EUR 0.44 per degree Plato per hectolitre, that means EUR ~0.80 per 20-litre batch of standard 1.040 beer. I bet the printing and handling of single Biersteueranmeldung (beer tax) form costs more.
