It's beautiful. I think it's fairly safe to say that apart from the odd blip, summer is dying on its **** and autumn will soon be felt. One good thing about the sustained heat and sun is that I got the first gallon of blackberry wine on last weekend.. about 3 weeks early. Will be harvesting more today - when it stops raining!

The bushes I harvest from aren’t quite ready yet but it looks like the berries are going to be a bit smaller than usual so hopefully extra sweet

I bet the tree-huggers are absolutely distraught that the record didn't go...

Tree-huggers?
What like 98% of scientists.

Oh, dear!

Oh God! He's woken up!! - Get the double barrel anti -Gunge shot gun with depeted uranium shells! Actually, forget that. I think it's best I take off and nuke him from orbit. It's the only way to be sure! :laugh8:

Prepping for dust off. Prepare warheads. Will leave earths atmosphere and enter orbit in 3..2..1...

Driving back from Milton Keynes to north Lincolnshire yesterday was horrendous. I do between 40k - 80k business miles a year, and regard myself as a fairly experienced driver, and can say that they were the worst driving conditions I have ever experienced. It was like being in one of those channel 5 'worlds worst extreme deadly killer storms' type programs. Four bloomin hours.

Missing the sun already!

Scientists lol!! And ye the record still didn't go but already the papers are awash with lurid headlines 'the face of climate change' and other crapola. It's only a summer reminiscent of summers past, and what will they say when 'normal service' is resumed next year? Tree huggers - pah.

I drove back from Devon yesterday evening as Mrs Clint has business to attend to today ..the drive was ok except for 30mpbloodyhour through Birmingham and 31 c!
Now raining in Wrexham and a bit breezy...brewing conditions?

Car fires...Field fires...Tiles lifting in Workshop...TIG welding......but we all have cold Beer.

Quoting this again.. That 98% was 97% last week... Never believe the concensus on a theory - it is always wrong. Take note of the small percentage who aren't paid to promote this drivel and will see it through to the bitter end even when all the grants have dried up. Ah Thursday's storm which broke the monotony... wasn't up to much tbh but one bolt of lightning was so close to our works that the gunshot thunder was heard simultaneously. Put my mate clean on his a***. Hilarious!

Now proper hailstones, it tried to rain here earlier but it didn't last long the met office failed again.

I notice @dad_of_jon hasnt responded to my earlier jibe. I bet he's ****** as a newt in that brummie brewdog - 'Oi'll av anuver Poonk Oi Poi eh, Ploise*'

*typing in Brummie :laugh8:

last thing I remember was being under the arches of moor street station in a trendy place with 15 beers on tap and a yeti imperial stout was somehow involved :beer1:

has anything interesting happened since then?

Windy and rainy here, still pretty hot. You sun hating moaning buggers had better not have chased the lovely sun away or I'll be jolly cross. :laugh8:

Twas me! But it looks like the heat will be on again from Wednesday. Gotta be summer's swansong.. I hope. Don't much care now, daylight is shortening rapidly and that feeling of 'high summer' has all but gone. Roll on October.
