And the Labour manifesto promised us all lots of lovely things grown in their their forest of magic money trees, let alone one single tree. Trouble is no-one really knows how their forest was going to be paid for, except perhaps Mickey Mouse or Dianne Abbot.
Of course they did, Politicians always promise stuff in maifesto's then dont deliver. I havent read the Labour manifesto so haven't read how they intend to fund all these promises. Borrowing money to spend is never a good idea but if they intend to have higher taxes perhaps they could do it?
Make no mistake I'm no Labour fanboy. My point was that we've had 7 years of austerity and the Goverment telling us that we have to balance the books and you the people need to tighten your belts and suffer (whilst we MPs award ourselves a payrise) then when it suits the Government (because they saw how Labour gained seats partly by blaming the terroist attacks on cuts and austerity) and saw their majority get wiped out and they were up $hit creek they suddenly did a volte face and decided to drop austerity
