CARCASS

i used
4 at 1½m ( 59 inch )for the uprights
6 at 750mm ( 30 inch ) for the cross members

the lats i would use
4 cm wide
9 mm thick
when you make lats if you do this way make sure where top scew goes through make sure it goes easy and not tight or it may split woodmake sure you smooth the edge of the lats is when under pressure it will cut in to cloth
have a look at this guy how he made his lats his cider press set up is well sweet :thumb:

Looking at the plan behind the second of the three merged images of the press, I think that you might not have followed the instructions carefully enough, tazuk, for I doubt that you'll get it airborne. I know that it's said that if you attach a sufficiently large and powerful engine to it, even a breeze block will fly - but I doubt that you'll have too many followers at the model flying club when you turn up with a cider press !!!
