I just wonder why their biggest beef seems to be with biology/evolution when physics also totally blows a good number of religious claims out of the water. Is it because of the perception you need maths to really *get* physics, but people think they understand enough about evolution to 'debunk' it [ spoiler alert: they don't ].

The thing is , which christians? The foundations for the age of the earth where laid by Anglicans. The beginning of the 19th century seems an age where religious people did not let their religion stand in the way of facts.

I don't have a problem with science conflicting with my beliefs as a Christian. Science deals with physical science whilst religion deals with matters of the soul. In the "developed" world we often reject religion as fairy stories. In the "primitive" world the complexities are far better understood.

@geigercntr I avoid conservapedia like the plague. And they avoid arguments about physics because they don't even understand enough physics to develop the same dunning-kruger syndrome they have about biology. How many fundies know what the red shift is?
