You will get as much steam as any other kettle I have the fifty litre and 40 litre, also a 60 litre Brau Wolf, made a hood for mine if you brew inside it would be easy to fit the flue to an extractor fan.Another question is about steam with these things. Do you get a lot? If so what do people do about it? I wouldn't be able to use the extractor obviously...
You can order it direct from China if you don't have a distributor in Sweden, send an email to Sandy, good company to deal with, you could get one of their stainless fermenters at the same time.Hello!
I'm thinking of getting a Hopcat MK2 but considering the low price of it, the accessories included in the price and the fact that I haven't see a lot of reveiws of it I'm starting to question wether the buissness is legit or not. Do you guys have any experience with the Hopcat? Is it a good system and can you be sure to get the brewing system after placing an order? It would be quite ***** to order something for 400 pounds plus shipping to my country and then recieve a bad/non working product or no product at all.
I would be thankfull for any input :)
Brewdevil from Angel Homebrew looks identical and gives you much more for less money
Completely true apart from the Brewdevil being £50 more expensive than the Hopcat for exactly the same thing with the same freebies
It another Ace,Guten,Klarstein Angelbrew type clone, probably ok as they go however it seems expensive for what it is, the Brewdevil from Angel Homebrew looks identical and gives you much more for less money. If you search on google maps for their address it comes up as 3 little separate retail establishments on a busy street in London, not at all what you would expect.
They’ve been around for a while (this thread is a year old for starters).https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/12660784
And it appears the company was only incorporated on 10 June 2020.
I bought the 60 litre direct for $300 AUI just had a really rough experience with this company and I'd say no, it's not legit. Long story short, I ordered a unit March 13 that was shipped with incorrect customs forms and returned to them April 2. I had to research this with the shipping company myself because despite multiple emails to them explaining I hadn't received my unit they never responded with more than "we're looking into it." I sorted out in three days what they didn't in 5 weeks. I always had to email them and they never took a proactive approach. I finally told them I'd file a fraud claim if I didn't get a clear answer and gave them a week, but they never responded. Once I told them I actually had done so (today, April 19), I got a defensive email about how many units they ship and how few problems they usually have, as if that were some kind of explanation for not sorting out a simple problem and responding to a customer. It's a bummer - they had a good price but it's no use if it doesn't show up. I'm going with a Klarstein once I get the refund from Hopcat or my credit card company.
That would put me right off.Are there any other contact options for Hopcat? As they are not replying to my emails.
As far as I am aware virtually all of the mainstream All in Ones are made in China so the options to buy is very limitedIs there an all in one system made in the UK?
