I kegged a Brewmakers kit about 10 days ago , I've drawn a small sample off and it has a coffee coloured head to it ,it also has a coffee taste to it , not good as I don't particularly like coffee, I did prime it with dark muscavado sugar though.
I've never made a stout before , but isn't the head usually white?

sounds about right to me the muscavado sugar will have given it the coffee taste. Leave it to mature for as long as you can and the tastes will round and mellow and not be so pronounced..
