Hi All,

Thought it was about time that I introduced myself. I've been wanting to home brew for ages but I've only just got around to it recently. The mrs has persuaded me to start with wine so I've quickly annoyed her by filling the spare room (in this day and age?! - don't tell the council!) with 18 demijohns that I've managed to collect by wheeling and dealing.

Have read a few books, including CJ's, but am still a complete novice. But eager to learn. I'll be posting a few helps soon. Have got 5 wine's on the go now since the end of april:

Dandelion
Nettle
Hawthorn flower
WOW - Original
Elderflower

Some are still fermenting, others have completely stopped (but fermented out I think). The nettle one tastes of 'pond water' (quote from mrs). Think I'll make a few bad 'uns before any success.

Cheers,
Dave

Hmm, shouldn't. Should be a not too sharp white with a slightly peppery aftertaste.

Cheers for the tasting info. I know I'm new to this, but even I think there's something amiss with this wine.
