I've noticed that the ambient conditions have a huge impact on how vigorous a boil my 30l Burco cygnet can manage. I boil outside, and a chilly Lincolnshire wind can mean that it can only manage a light rolling boil. Warmer and still conditions mean it can pull of a full volcano like boil.
Do you think that this is something that insulation would resolve? If so, what is good to use that won't melt - camping mats any good? How many layers?
