Just had a sample of the TC that's been in the FV for a little over two weeks.
There's still the odd bubble so I'm leaving it a few more days although its dropped from 1042 to 1002.
Taste wise it's lacking a bit although its palatably cider.
So I added a bit of old cold tea to the trial jar and wow what a difference that made.
It deepened the colour, smoothed the flavour and reduced the twang.
I'm thinking of back sweetening with sweetex dissolved in some super strong tea.
Anyone tried this; and what end results were there?

Lots of people do backsweeten, the one generally mentioned is Splenda but Sweetex should work just as well. I like mine dry as the Kalahari though.

I've back sweeten all my TCs and ginger beer with sweetex it was the addition of the tea at this stage that I was querying mainly.

Oh, most people put it in at the start
I did (probably not as much as I should though).
I had some in the pot and as I thought it lacked bite and was a bit bland I added some to the trial jar and it made a huge improvement.
Anyway I added 50 sweetex to 500ml boiling water and 5 teabags and left it to mash for about 30-40 minutes and then added to my brew gave it a mix up and left it overnight.
Bottled it today so I will update as and when.
