Regarding your winning beer... whilst I've not done it I believe Woodfordes Wherry is a popular kit as is St Peters. Two can kits are generally superior to one can kits.
 
I doubt you would get GREAT results from a single can kit on its own but you can make them really good by adding more of the base ingredients (malt) rather than sugar.

This is the reason 2 can kits are so much better, they aren't thinned out with sugar.

If you have the option of getting a 2 can kit with the type of beer/lager that you are after then I would definitely go down that route as by the time you buy the single kit and then 1kg of the appropriate DME & the hops etc you are probably around the same money anyway.

The trouble is that most of the lagers that I make only come in single can kits, the coopers ones are hard to beat for cost etc. So it's cost effective for me to get the coopers kit that suits and then buy all the additional sugars/hops/etc to make it as good as it can be.

Basically to make a single can kit really good you need to move 3/4 of the way over to extract brewing. By the time you do this you would be better choosing your own yeast and just getting a can of LME instead of the kit. With the double can kits you can get away with using it as is.
 
If I could find an all grain recipe for the St Peters Ruby Red Ale 2 can kit, I'd definately give it a go.

For a kit beer the St Peters takes some beating.
 
I can almost guarantee you a winner with Muntons Gold Midas Touch, Dry hopped with 40g of East Kent Golding on day 5 for a further 14 days.

Best kit beer I made, would make it again if I couldn't find a way to get an AG brewday in. Also worthy are the Ritchies Festival Porter, just brewed with no extras (well, the extras come with the kit actually...) and Better Brew IPA with a 1.5kg can of Light Liquid Malt Extract instead of sugar and dry hopped with 40g Chinook on day 5 for a further 14 days.

Ok proper job! Now tell me what is a great two can lager kit. Id like a crisp, clean, refreshing one plz. I need to know every thing coz as you know I'm a novice! What kit and all the extra and how to do it! Com on guys lets do this!!!!

Mexican cerveza, buy 2 kits and brew as one. Job done :)
 
Either of the better brew ones are good. Just make them up with extra light spraymalt instead of sugar.
 
+1 on the mexican cerveza kit (2 cans in 1 fermenter).

It's quite difficult to make a good lager at home. I haven't tried these kits so someone might tell me I am talking rubbish.

Proper lager needs to be made with a lager yeast, fermented at a low temperature (12C rather than 20C) and then lagered (stored) at about 2C for a time. Because lager has a crisp, clean flavour (aka bland - just my opinion) any imperfections will be very obvious.
