I'm really sorry to ask this and it really is'nt born out of laziness. I've read and read about the hydrometer reading but i just can't work it out, I'm not daft or anything but when I see numbers it is just a blur....so, I'd really appreciate some help....My first raeding of my apple juice after adding 1lb of sugar was 1.085, after a couple of weeks on holiday I've taken a new reading which is 0.999..so I'm preparing to bottle it, as it says on the hydrometer to do so...could you help me by advising me on what ABV I can expect the cider to be, I am a newbie at this so , thanks for the help in advance....
