There is a questionnaire called the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) which is a standard tool used by health professionals to look at a person's Alcohol use, which you can find herehttp://www.patient.co.uk/doctor/Alcohol-Use-Disorders-Identification-Test-(AUDIT).htm

Although the most important indicator you could use is whether or not you feel that Alcohol is really causing you problems...

BTW I scored a 6 which indicates a "possible risk" but is still within the "normal" range...
I tried it and answered the same question 2 ways.
Has a relative or friend or a doctor or another health worker been concerned about your drinking or suggested you cut down?
1st with never then with yes in the last year, the result was that with never I am normal but with yes I am at risk. Now my wife hardly drinks and if I do she nags, so clearly I'm at risk because of a nagging wife.

I keep telling the wife I only drink cos I brew......

If it wasn't for the drink, most of us wouldn't be married in the first place. ;)

Yep met in a nightclub and proposed in a pub. I maintain I said "will you carry me?"

I have a drink wednesday, thursday, friday and perhaps Saturday. Usually only a single 330ml bottle though - so it only really works out at around 3 pints a week.
For each 5G batch I do, I bottle perhaps 20x330ml's This way I can do quality assurance tests every few days without depleting my whole stock.

Haha! Exactly the same here, thankfully my fiance likes a nice old pub too so she liked the location. I'm going to remember that quote for the wedding day speeches ;)

A pint every couple of days, Half a bottle of wine at weekends

Not that much really

Your sig says that in 2010 you brewed over 5,000 pints. Have you cut back on brewing or do you give most of it away. No criticism intended just curious.
Well, that total does include a batch brewed at a commercial brewery . . . just some 16BBL worth, so cheating in a way. . . . although my large kit will do 95L using a blow off tube . . . . I do tend to give away a couple of cornies of that when I brew it.

If you can remember any quotes on your wedding day, you're obviously not drunk enough to be getting married. :nono:
