Hi everyone just wanted to know how long on average does a 19ltr corny last you ?
Coming to the end of my first AG brew which I force carbed in a corny . Think it’s only been two weeks drank 11 pints over the weekend and lost a lot to foaming issues due to me not understanding about line balancing .

Until it's empty 😭😭😭

Seriously though it does depend whether I'm solely drinking from the keg or subbing from shop bought or other brews though on average about three to four weeks averaging about four pints a night at the weekend or midweek depending on my shift pattern.

Thanks gerryjo . I must of lost a lot more to the foam then I thought to be honest.
it’s hard to tell how much I have actually got left in the corny but it feels very light 😢 .
I was hoping to become self sufficient in beer but doesn’t look possible.
ive got 3 cornys but only a small brew fridge that’s fits one bucket . There’s one in there now but only brewed that at the weekend.

I've only one brew fridge that fits one bucket as do many others. You just have to get creative as we all do finding ways that work using blankets towels to maintain temps with quick and easy brews to get you going... Try weighing your corny with lines attached or not both empty and full and this will let you know as beer is basically water and is like for like as kilo to litre...

Thanks guys I am going to weigh my next keg and start brewing more with the towel method I think 🤔

It will last for years if properly maintained. The seals need to be renewed regularly and the whole unit needs regular cleaning and sanitising. I always check mine for leaks with water and washing up liquid. Also I put Vaseline on seal and the disconnects. My cornies were reconditioned but with regular maintenance they will last you for years.

So a 19L Corny is about 34 pints.

Personally I think I average around 12 pints a weeks, sometimes more, sometimes less and sometimes interspersed with commercial beer or other stuff so I'd say around 3 weeks per keg on average. But I have three lines in my fridge and usually a least two kegs "tapped" so more like two empties every 6 weeks.

Thing is though since switching to them I still mostly brew 23L kits so end up sticking the first 4L into 500ml bottles (8). I've hardly touched these to date so it will be a fun Christmas! Last count it was getting on for 90 bottles 😆

Depends what is in the keg, really. An imperial stout will probably last longer than a pale ale because you won't be downing pints of the stuff. Also depends how nice it is. I have had kegs go inside of a week, whilst others last two or three months. But I would say on average, two to four weeks is normal for me.
