My dry hops used to always just float on top till I cold crashed but now, they just sink! This in itself would not be an issue (other than why do they now do this?) but I have a yeast collection bottle thingy at the bottom and they drop right into this! I can't block it off before adding hops as its one of those plastic fermenters where you push a plunger in the lid to seal off the collection bottle - obviously the lid is not on as im adding dry hops in to the open top of the thing!
I also cant rouse the hops with CO2 as my out tube is connected to a little floating ball, last time I literally picked the whole thing up and rolled it on the garage floor! Which should be fine as I flush with CO2 and add 10PSI of CO2 to it, but its not ideal! This morning it did the same, I added the hops a load sunk straight to the collection bottle - added the lid and quickly stopped the rest going in but now I have a few grams of hops in the collection bottle, sealed off from the rest :-(
