Hi all, I'm looking for a strainer or device that stops gunk blocking my boiler tap when transferring to kegs. It's a plastic Peco boiler with the standard black plastic tap. I thought the false bottom would take care of this but it fits badly do need another solution. Thanks

Change the tap to one of those stainless steel ones and fit one of those bazooka strainers on. Not the cheapest solution, I know.

This is the solution - pushes in the back of the tape on the Peco boiler and works like a dream - I use one in my Peco boiler:

Its a Brupaks universla hope strained - you may need to cross cut (with a hacksaw) the pipe that pushes into the back of the plastic tap in the boiler, the internal diameter of the taps was changed so you may need to 'open up' or 'nip-close' the size of the pipe to get a snug fit into the back of the tap.

Not so easy to get hold of now, may be worth emailing Shane at the homebrewcompany, he shows his boiler with one fitted so may have some

Here is mine fitted inside the boiler, can be removed for cleaning with a test tube brush after a brewday. Used it 4-5 times and its never come loose during the mash/boil and works really really well, I use whole leaf hops and pelllets straight in the boil and my tap never blocks now and I get almost no debris at all as the second picture with the sieve shows:
