Hi in January I planted some hops i was given. To my surprise they have grown quite well but unfortunately I don't know what type they are!!
Could anybody indentify them for me please?

The only information I have is they are from Wiltshire and were growing wild.........

Here's the link to a few pictures of them

I think that wild hops are just that - wild hops. All other hops will have been produced from them. Perhaps they won't be desperately bitter, but you can't get more traditional than the originals. Wiltshire sounds like the perfect location for them - they grow wild all over Southern England but are devils to find. Old woodland, I suppose?

I have 2 different verietys growing nearly next door to each other and cant tell either apart and sometimes forget which is which
so identify from a picture is very difficult some clues would be size of larger hop cones but unless someone with massive hop knowledge is here I doubt you will get a firm answer
best try them and see if you like the flavour
make a tea and see what it tastes like if bitter enough then a hit
if not ask in a few weeks time and I am sure those of us that grow them will be offering rimazones to anyone who wants them

Ok thanks :thumb: TBH they seem slow to develop inside compared to other peoples pictures on the forum, could be a non starter. :( :(
