Harvested hops today but need some plant aftercare advice. Should we cut vine back to ground now or leave to die off then cut back?

This is the fuggles we got half of this amount for the challenger they should make a few brews though :thumb:

Forgot to ask also the picked hops are in a net curtain hammock in a dark cupboard will they be ok there or do they need to be laid out flat

Wendy, some cut them back right away and others leave and cut back before winter. I cut them down right away because it's easiest for me to harvest that way. I'v noticed not ill effects.

You want them laid out as evenly as possible so you can get the most airflow through them. If they are all clumped up in piles, the ones in the middle will not dry out very well. I just harvested last night and now my whole basement smells like hops! :thumb:
