I've used the broadside recipe from this and it turned out alright, plan to try the Bengal Lancers recipe soon too.

So in this imaginary scenario, I wouldn't waste one of my choices on a bittering hop, and fuggles can stand in for that - yes I know it's a waste of fuggles but it would mean I could have a wider range of flavour / aroma hops. You couldn't survive without Fuggles & EKG in my opinion, so that just leaves one slot. Tricky. I think it would be Brambling Cross as it's so different.

Actually, I've thought about it about more and I think i would choose Saaz. I quite like it in a bitter, strangely enough.

Funnily enough when I was chucking out my old hops I found a part used packet of saaz but due to my long break from brewing I can't remember what I used them for.

I used mittlefruh in a bitter with good results.

First Gold, EKG and Styrian Goldings/ Fuggles, same thing.

Could happily do all my Belgian beers from them, too.
