Don't know but try filling up your basket to >£70 and start the checkout procedure to see what the delivery charge is.

Good idea 😀 looks like they’ve removed it. Definitely used to offer it as this was one of the reasons I’d often place a big order. My last order of free shipping was mid February.

I'm still using crushed pale and wheat I bought March last year and it's still great. The dark wheat I bottled two days ago tastes fantastic.

I bought the normal hook head, the 'craft' version and I'm going to do a 3 way smash with those and maris otter to see if there's a difference. I'll probably not be able to taste it but some of my victims might.

Seems to be up and running again
Aaaaand it's down again. Damn. Only a while ago, it was open this afternoon.
Are THBC still offering free delivery over £70
It used to be on the delivery page but it's gone. Wah! Hope it comes back.

Yes it's a very good malt I am on my third 25kg sack, kind of a mix between a pale ale malt and a munich actually seems very similar to a Vienna malt. I much prefer it over marris otter and golden promise malts. Here is a Hookhead smash with Chinook.

Sorry to rez the topic but what are everyone's thoughts on this malt?
(I don't just mean is it good or where it was bought from)
I've only ever used MO and when I ran out of that I purchased a sack of the hook head pale malt then I did something silly an made a smash with Hull Melon hops that I've also never used before.
I've ended up with this.
Am I naive to think all ale malts are almost the same or do they really have such a flavour variance?

I'm doing the 3 way experiment right now with maris otter vs two minch/hook head malts. This is for a gallon of each, just change the base malt. Brewing at 40c with CML voss kveik.

I tasted the malts before they went in and the Maris Otter did have slightly more flavour and seemed richer but I really don't know if that was cognitive bias. I should have done a blind tasting.

I got different starting gravities - now I forgot to put the gypsum, calcium chloride and acid in the Maris but added everything later and I did get less extract with that.

Original gravities were Maris :1.040, Minch Pale : 1.047, Minch Craft Pale : 1.045. Going into the fermenters the Maris seemed a bit more orange than the other two and it's still a lot richer coloured orange now it's done. I'm going to leave them another day then cold crash them. I'll let you know what I think in a few weeks.

I've been using Minch since I started AG and have no problems with it.
Occasionally I'll buy a small sack of golden promise or something to tide me over between sacks, but it's always been a good performer
