Holding Pubs to Account

I guess you can get the odd off pint served in even the best pubs. A decent landlord / bar staff should be aware of this possibility and always be willing to change a bad pint, IMHO.

My local CAMRA branch have become aware of a couple of pubs who won't pour a taster of a beer to confirm suitability claiming that they have to account to the pubco for every drop that enters the premises yet isn't sold. It makes me wonder if this kind of attitude leads to a reluctance to change an off beer?
