Hoegarden Bottles

Right just so everyone is aware..........

I just got my hands on 15off 750ml Hoegarden bottles with the promise of more to come, I was made up less cleaning and sterilizing.

So bottles all clean and sterilized and we are ready to go, I fill the bottle and drop a cap on ready to cap "odd something does not feel right", so I remove the capper and the crown cap does not go over the top and sit flat.

So in conclusion Hoegarden bottles have a different size cap....

Are they not the 29mm caps, same as champagne bottles, that can be bought & fitted using a bench capper?

I am not sure of the size, they are certainly bigger at a guess 3-5mm, to be fair these appeared a good idea but am no longer certain, I can do without the extra stress of 2 different size caps, and anyone wanting the afore mentioned bottles who is willing to collect them just drop me a message.

I'm fairly certain that these are 29mm caps so you need to get the other bell for your capper (and some 29mm crown caps). I got the 29mm capper bell just in case but not had to use it yet.
