Hey all,

You might have seen my first all grain brew, and up until the fermentation it was going quite well. However since I accidentally added gelatin halfway through fermentation. Now I'm worried because the beer seems to have settled at 1.013, despite pitching some new yeast. I'm currently thinking leave it for a week, then if nothing has changed just bottle as normal?

My did my first ag a few weeks ago (bottling this weekend) and I used Beer Engine program. This tells me my FG should be 1.013... What makes you think that's too high?

its a tiny bit high although it depends on your Original Gravity reading. As long as you have a reasonable amount of alcohol...get it bottled.

why did you add the finings while it was still fermenting ??

A canadian blonde I not long finished ended or stuck at 1014. I got it bottled anyway and its fine. Very slightly sweet but not so much it ruins it just a characteristic of the beer.

I got it mixed up with another batch :(

I think ill give it a few days, then bottle it with a lower than usual amount of sugar.

I have had that in the past where it has been around 1.015 and not budged. i did as you're thinking - just conservative on the priming sugar and everything was fine.
