I'm a second time brewer - first attempts were 20 years ago with boil in a bag kits at uni - but have returned to have another go.
Currently on my second batch, first was a moderately successful muntons smugglers gold (got a stuck fermentation but got it going again). Second batch is a Geordie Yorkshire bitter made short, using 1kg of medium DME
Also have an elderflower wine on the go and just finished bottling 5l of vimto turbo cider.
Yes, if you're gonna do it, get stuck in!
