Alright guys and gals im Darryl Williams from South Wales im only 23 and recently had a big urge to start brewing my own to cut a long story short i started with extract and it wasnt for me that twang was horrible and a pocket full of cash later im in the all grain seen.

Ive got one ready to keg at the moment to be served with a beer engine i got my check valve and non return values and all the others bits ready to go, All i need now is a fridge and a co2 bottle and im a bit clueless with the whole carbonation process basically temp's, psi and the time before i can drink it.

Ive left the beer at room temp for over a month now following advice from most of the guys on this forum and ive got some more grain for another two batches hopefully will get them out of the way this weekend, One problem i did have though was my boiler didnt keep the boil for the hour it kept coming and going with that damn thermastat i tried to mess with it but im useless would this effect anything?

Sorry for the wall of text, i appreciate any help and advice you guys provide me
Cheers :drink:

Hi, welcome to the forum :drink:

I don't dispense through a beer engine so am not sure about pressures, but I think you keep them pretty low (about 2 - 3 psi). I am assuming you are using corny Kegs.

I dispense through normal beer taps so I keep my kegs at 12 psi, in a fridge at 12 centigrade.

You can see it on this thread.

I should imagine your boiler issues won't have given you too much of an issue but you do really want a rolling boil so I'd be inclined to bypass the thermostat before your next brew.
