So it's time to build the heat exchanger for my herms set up. I have a small thermopot as the water bath and a kettle element, a 3kw burco boiler to be exact. So my question is after some brain scratching whether it's worth all the effort to work out where to drill the hole as he element is off centre so it's not a simple task of drilling in the centre. Do I keep this element or get an element that will stand inside through the middle of the coil. Or is there an easier method of finding where the hole needs to be.
