Hi. Question regarding water profile. Using the brewfather So it you opted to use the mash and sparse water in your treatment. The programme would distribute the correct amount between the two in a ratio dependant on water volume. If you just put it into the mash presumably it would increase the concentration so that when the sparse is added it will end up at the final requisite concentration. Also does it take into account water loss through evaporation and mash absorption and consequent increase in salt concentrations. Thanks
 
Yes it does increase the salts in mash if not added into sparge, have a play and you'll see it adjust. I'm pretty sure it does take account of losses so that levels are correct at all stages.
I only put the salts in mash personally, but do adjust pH and remove chlorine in the sparge water.
