Help with fixings. Dip tube build.

Hi guys, I'm a beginner at metal work but will get it made eventually!

I have some 1/2 steel tube and tap and would like to convert it into a dip tube to harvest the last of wort from kettle.

I guess I need to fitting's, one elbow and something to attach to 1/2 thread on tap.

Any ideas.

Why? Just tip your kettle and you'll drain every drop.

to connect the tube to the tap rear section all you need is a tap connector

dont solder or braze, just firm puch fit and the same with the nut finger tight will do, easy to break apart to clean afterwards

you want either 1/2" or 3/4" to 15mm which i think is the size of your pipe

pipe seems to be 17mm internal diameter. Struggling to find that size.?

Are you having the tube angled at the end,pointing upwards at 90 degrees to avoid kettle debris?
If so I'd go with copper fittings...use the tap connection as per hedgerow pete,push fit a length of tube and then push on an elbow.

or buy a 1/2" to 22mm tap fitting, that will fit your pipe, if you squeaze the one sideof the copper connector slightly it forms a slight crimp to hold it
