Heya guys, I'm planning my next brew at the moment, I'm looking to use Morgan's Blue Mountain Lager with 500g extra light spray malt and 500g dextrose. I was thinking that now i've done a few kits I could move towards the 'extract' way of thinking, and perhaps add some hops to give it a nicer finish. The problem is I'm completely lost when it comes to this! Im unsure of suitable hops for this, amounts, times and methods to add the hops (pretty much everything lol), any help is really appreciated, suggestions welcomes too :)

cheers guys, Alex

:drink:

Thanks, ye I did look at this hop and it sounds like the right way forward. Are there any how to's on hopping? As I am abit in the dark about the whoe step,

Alex

I just used to boil the hops in a couple of pints of water for about 20 minutes then add the resultant tea (strained) to the FV at the same time as adding your extract.

When making a hop tea do not use water . . . use a dilute wort, as the extraction from hops is much better in a slightly acidic solution.

Well as they "Well I go to sea". Thanks for that tip - another one to remember  Although for novice kitmakers........
(Actually I did go to sea for many years as a R/O with RSL)
