Help for a new boy

I've brewed a few tins if lager and bitter etc, but at the request of SWMBO I'm having a go at some wine kits, I got the cheap £18 wilkos Pinot kit and its been bubbling along nicely since last Sunday night. The kit instructions say that after 7 days to add the finings and stabiliser, but it the bubbling hasn't slowed at all, should I ignore the instructions and wait until the bubbling slows right down, or follow the kit to the letter,

Got the feeling this is a stupid question but being my first wine kit thought I would ask

Welcome. : Yes ignore the instructions. Leave it till it stops bubbling and then check SG. It should be in the region of .990-.995. If it is then leave it a couple of days and then rack and clear. The instructions are only a guide. Try to keep it around 18c-20c but def less than 25c. The lower the better, but it takes longer to ferment.

Thought as much, thanks for confirming what I thought was the case, getting excited for the summer now, my garage is full of empty wine bottles waiting to have the labels scraped off :?
And I've just picked up 40 swing top grolsch bottles with crates to hold them ready for the lager that brewing away nicely :drink:

Well finally got around to bottling this kit and I am well impressed, got 29 bottles of perfectly clear Pinot Grigio and a glass to taste. White wine isn't my thing usually but this was definitely drinkable and the misses polished off the spare glass pretty sharpish. If they do improve with a little time this kit will have been a bargain at less than a quid a bottle

It can be adjusted to use any fruit juice you fancy (and if you hunt around the forum you'll find loads of different recipes) it's great fun thinking up new juice combinations but best of all it tastes good and comes in at about 50p-60p a bottle!
