I see some recipes with up to 20% caramel malt... is that true?

I accept suggestions.

Pilsen 50 %
Dark Munich 38 %
Caramunich III 6%
Cara Special- 2 4%
Special B 2%

I would be putting nowhere near 20% in. Sounds like a recipe for a syrupy mess. Your ratios look completely reasonable.

Just dug out my old recipe from when I was using Beersmith. Very similar! Here's a screenshot below.
