I need a counter pressure bottle filler myself. Still undecided what to buy, I also prefer glass. From looking at stuff online you would need 4 arms to operate most of them. The boel itap looks the easiest to use
Yes the Boel itap is the right way to do this properly and I’ve been trying to source one for a long time - at a reasonable price. I’ll get there.

They are pretty much identical. I will bottle in glass but also want to bottle in plastic. I will persist with it and make a couple of changes to make it less clumsy to use.
Ah right, looked slightly different from your photos. I connect mine directly into the tap, which frees a hand, also the stainless steel fittings are much better

If you do, could you let me in on the secret please H?

I have found one on a UK website but it's not a crown cap and plastic combined one and it's £135 ashock1

Edit: - it's a combined one I can't read 😂

Hi Tess! £135 is a reasonable price for this particular device. It is expensive but you’re paying for something in a different league to most other bottle fillers. Where did you see it?

David Heath drilled a hole in an old table-top capper I think it was, and mounted it on that.

You can mount it on anything I think. H will know a lot more than me about it lol

Edit: apparently they can go in your front mounted tap hole on your kegerator, but you have to have a font high enough.

Just quoting from the video here.

I don't know personally, I'm being blissfully ignorant at the moment.

I did email TMM before I bought this to see if they were selling them and they said they've taken the decision not to stock them. So that's one place out.

Do you mount the itap like a normal tap on a kegerator
Will there be any issue with getting spares for the iTap given they're a Russian company?

This video from Sarah gives a good overview.

The tap itself has been hard enough to source but it looks like supplies are starting to come through again. Boel are working with a Portuguese distributor for Europe so maybe there will be more taps and spares available. In the meantime spares and support might be a bit thin on the ground but the device looks pretty robust.

Things I like about it are that it’s almost hands-free, it’s clean to use with all the waste going down a tube to the drain, it can be securely mounted, is easy to operate, and there’s no filler tube to draw air into the bottle as you remove it (the beer is directed down the walls of the bottle).
