Davinci gourmet, hazelnut flavour syrup. It lists ingredients as water, cane sugar, flavouring but not quantity. I phoned the manufacturer but they have been useless and can't help.
Does.anyone know the fermentability of this product? I did a hydrometer test but it was of the scale.

Should I assume about 90% sugar? I'm worried.about how much to add to my porter without making it rocket fuel.

So,
10ml plus 90ml water = 1.023.

I'm not sure what that equals? Can someone help?

Is it the same as 1.0023 if 1ml in 100ml.

So 200 ml in 20litres will turn a 1.042 beer into a 1.0443 beer.

a sh*t load of sugar that's what.

Sorry, I'm not sure of the calculation, but I'd be reckoning something like 1.2xx at least for the syrup.

Try diluting that 100ml out to a litre, and see if it goes to 1.002. If so, you are correct...

Just done 10 g caster sugar in 100ml and that came out at 1.048.
So that would make it about 1/2 sugar 1/2 water.

I'm going to try 400 ml in 20 litres.which should add 1.005 onto the gravity.
I'll then try priming with it too.

100ml into 20 litres should be the same as 50 grams.
