Hi I have tried to harvest yeast from a bottle of Porterhouse Oyster Stout (very tasty :drink: ). I have followed the instructions in the How to guide http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=180. I seem to have grown on quite a lot of yeast which I am happy with. However I have tasted the wort the the yeast was cultured in and it tastes definitely of TCP  . I used DME for the wort. Is this a sign of a secondary infection? or a reaction with Chloride. Obviously if it is an infection I can't use the yeast.
Any help most appreciated.
