Have I accidentally started the process of upgrading my equipment?

oh man ye got it bad. whit size? I just added a 55 L to my collection.
It's the 27L one, which is plenty for me (at the moment anyway, who can tell what the future may hold...)

I've justified it to myself based on the cost of all the bits and bobs I'd need to buy, the time it's take to research all the bits and bobs I'd need, and the cost of having to buy more bits and bobs due to the cack handedness that I'd bring to the project...

Sensible strategy. You would wind up here anyway and be considerably poorer for taking the long road . And thats money you can now invest in malt hops and yeast !

I can't have a review, cos I don't have any binoculars. Ridiculous state of affairs. I have a few bits to get rid of a braumeister grainfather, several cornies, some stock pots, T500, several IM coils, millions of buckets, and let's not mention 1000's of wine Bottles, at least a dozen tamijohns. Enough gas and regs to inflate an airship
So why... have I just bought a 50litre fermenter?!? Why...

Just finished my first brew on the Brewzilla. Quite an enjoyable day all round, apart from the occasional snafu at the beginning and end of the day - starting the profile before I'd put the water in, thereby causing a thermal overload; blocking the pump with hops when trying to clean up...

Everything seemed to go well. OG was what was expected, which I'm a little suspicious of... Only 18L in fermenter rather than 20L, but I can live with that.

Really impressed with the plate wort chiller that started this upgrade... Was sure something would go wrong and it'd leak or something, but no it was great. Chilled all 18L down to 20℃ in 10 to 15 minutes. Probably helped that the tap water is coming out about 5℃...

Not entirely sure if I haver the RAPT profile set up correctly for the fermenter temperature controller and not sure if the pill is sending data properly, but I'mnot going to worry about that just now. Will see how things are tomorrow.

Back is in agony just now. Will need to look to getting something to put the Brewzilla on to bring it up to a better height. Not the best having it on the ground when you're 6'2"...
