Hi everyone,
I used to get my S30 co2 refills locally in St Austell, but the shop has now closed down, I know i can get refills in Plymouth but this involves a 60 mile round trip, do any cornish brewers know of any closer stockists where I can obtain refills from, many thanks in advance

The Brewmart do a send and return service on the s30. Five quid plus whatever it costs for you to send yours off I think. Not an awful price for a 60 mile convenience really.

Do you use priming sugar? Might be worth the wait to potentially solve a lot of problems, and save some decent cash. Also, if you're using your s30 in the cold, it'll take a lot less effect than at warmer temps. Our ales are kept in the living room and are cool enough to drink, one blast of gas lasts plenty of pints whereas the lager in the cold conservatory needs gassing every 2 pints...

Dive shops , soft drink wholesaler , theres a long established LHBS in redruth/camborne I am told , but I got mine from the small holding supplies shop in Launceston .

thanks for that, I keep the kegs in our utility which is pretty warm, I prime with a mix of ordinary sugar and malt extract which works pretty well, on odd occasions i,ve manage to go through a whole barrel without needing to inject any co2 at all. Most brews i tend to get over half way through before having to give a little boost of co2 so a s30 cylinder tends to last a good length of time. I have since learnt that Mallets in Truro stock the cylinders which is only a 20 minute drive away from us so thats not so bad
