Am I wasting these hops if I try them with pale ale malt is it strictly for pilsner, lager malt
Anyone try something similar
I have 100g hallertauer tradition and 100g of hallertauer mitellfruh any ideas or tips

I would say no its down to personal taste. If you like Pseudo lagers which are quite popular with brewers who have little temp control like me I have done plenty in the past in fact I sometimes use Vienna and Munich to make pseudo Festbiers with ale yeasts and I like them..
There are no real rules if you like the idea go for itathumb..

I like German pilsner any idea how to use these hops to get anywhere near the flavours

Both of them are aroma hops and would traditionally be used as 10 minute additions in lagers and other traditional German beers. It will work well in a pale ale. Use a clean yeast, mostly pale malt / pilsner malt, load your hallertau hops to the 10 minutes and I think you will have a great beer!

I just went for it threw 100g of each in with 15 min left and let them sit for a further 45 min after flameout
Can't wait to see how she turns out
And just to get turn things upside down altogether I threw in some mangrove jacks m12 kveik yeast ill have it in keg next weekend
