Growing grapes for Wine.

Hello there.
Im looking to start growing grapes for wine. I dont have a green house, however I do have a south facing wall at the front of the house. I particularly am interested making a red wine.

I had a quick scout of google and found that Triomphe d'Alsace is a fairly good vine to grow.

However I thought I'd ask here if anyone had any experience of growing grapes outside and if they could give me any tips or suggestions.
